Angel Fire Golf Vacation

Angel Fire Resort Golf CourseRise above the ordinary at the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course and Country Club. The longer-playing layouts of the front nine wind through two unspoiled canyons of aspen and spruce. The signature 6th hole features a tee box soaring 200 vertical feet above the green – 239 yeards away. The back nine offers links-style play with rolling fairways, mountain streams and plenty of bunkers to challenge every level of golfer.

Get your round off to a good start! The Pro Shop at the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course & Country Club carries golf clubs from Titleist, Taylor Made, Cleveland and Nike. As well as men's and women's apparel from Cutter & Buck, Nike, Gear and more. You will find a wide selection of golf balls and in case you forgot your sticks, brand name rental clubs are available.

With our cool summer temperatures, colorful alpine meadows and brilliant autumn foliage, Angel Fire makes a beautiful year-round destination. Come up for world-class mountain biking, a round of golf—and a whole lot more.

Good News for Angel Fire Golfers

A special thanks to the Angel Fire Golf Course Advisory Committee for providing this update on golf course improvements.

Clubhouse and Pro Shop Location

Since the existing Country Club will not be in use this season, the resort purchased two temporary structures. One structure will house the pro shop and food & beverage operations. That structure will be located just to the south of the current chipping green, which will eliminate the use of the chipping green during the existence of the temporary pro shop. The other structure will be located in the existing parking lot above the putting green to house the golf carts. These structures will be erected as soon as possible. Until these structures are complete, the pro shop will be operating out of the existing country club building. Below are sample photographs of the Sprung® buildings that are being erected.

Avoid the golf course

So sad–I have played this course a number of times over the years but not for the last 5 years. Played this weekend and it is so sad how far downhill this course has gone. The fairways vary from dried out hardpan to overwatered spongey. Of the 18 greens, no 2 are alike–a couple had not been mowed in several days, a number of them were hard as rock, and many of them had dead spots covered with sand. It is tragic how this fun mountain course has become a goat ranch. The $95 green fee is $75 over priced. Please drive to Taos to find a real golf course.

Angel Fire Golf Course

For $192 I got: Not one level tee box on the whole course. No divot mix in the cart bottle, and no refill bottles on the way to the first tee with any mix in them. No food/beverage cart until the 17th hole. No starter. No marshall to speed up slow play. A club house that resembles something from 1960. Singles shuffled in front of us turning to the back nine. This course should be in the $25-$35 dollar range. What a joke.
